Horsehair pottery originated from the practice of honoring fallen war horses by incorporating their hair into pottery. Native American's believed that the spirit of the horse remained. The horsehair is applied at the second firing and leaves its carbon imprint as part of the piece.

One of our very largest pieces. This piece is twelve inches high and ten inches wide. This piece does have unique lid.

Each piece is fired twice and has the name of the master pottery on the base.
